Palfinger Sany started to be presented to the Turkish market in 2016 with the partnership of Palmak Makina and Makser Vinc continues to stand out especially with its rought terrain crane deliveries. Palmak Makina and Makser Vinc, which started to put their long-term order plans into practice in line with the increasing demand, unshipped 10 units of rought terrain crane Paltinger Sany SRC series with 35 ton, 55 ton and 75 ton capacities to deliver to the customers in Kocaeli Derince Port.
We received the views of Palmak Makina General Manager Zeki Daşdemir about the machines and the sector targets while receiving Palfinger Sanys consisting of 10 units of SRC 350, SRC 550 and SRC 750 from Kocaeli Derince Port. Zeki Daşdemir, who stated that they sold 13 Palfinger Sany in 2016 with the last received party, said that they will unship 12 Palfinger Sany in December and try to work with a stock as wide as possible. Zeki Daşdemir, who stated that they already gave their order for 2017, said that they moved the Palfinger Sany brand to a certain recognition even though they started to work recently. Zeki Daşdemir reminded that they sold some of the 12 units order to be unshipped in December and emphasized that they had some projects they had been waiting for and that they projected that all of the machines will be sold following these projects.

Speaking about the content of the order package they received, Zeki Daşdemir noted that the total of 10 orders were 2 of 35 ton capacity SRC 350, 4 of 55 ton capacity SRC 550 and 4 of them 75 ton capacity SRC 750. Zeki Daşdemir underlines that all of these machines are sold and that they are in the delivery phase, said that; “Some of the Palfinger Sany you see here will be delivered to Azerbaijan, some of them to a company operating in Algeria, and some of them to another customer to be used in the Star Refinery, and one to be sent to the construction of the 3th Airport airport. Some of the next order package to be received in December was sold. Orders will continue on a regular basis and we will try to work with stock following the increase in demand.”
Zeki Daşdemir expressed that the most in-demand model among 3 different Palfinger Sany rought terrain crane they presented to the Turkish market is SRC550 with 55tons of capacity, and underlined that this model stands out with its performance and load diagram compared to its equivalents. He underlined that the 35-ton capacity SRC350 is technically “accepted” by the 3rd airport construction site, and then it has a demand increase, and said: “Additionally, I can say that there is more demand for industrial works like the Star Refinery for the 75 ton capacity SRC750. But when I make a general assessment; The SRC550 comes to the foreground. The main components used in all models are completely western-origin, compared to their equivalents, I think the SRC550 has very serious advantages in the load diagram. In addition, the jib boom comes as standard. In the near future, Palfinger Sany will present a 120-ton-capacity model to the market and it will be introduced for the first time in Bauma China. We think that this product will be very successful and we look forward to it.”
Zeki Daşdemir stated that the trust of their customers to Palfinger Sany is increasing ever more, and that as a result of that all the products from the factory are under control of Palfinger due to the the fifty-fifty partnership of Palfinger and Sany brands, the customer confidence increases. Zeki Daşdemir noted that this trust is not an empty confidence, it is a difference that offers a serious quality, and highlighted that all customers who use and know the machine are satisfied with their preferences. Zeki Daşdemir gave examples about the quality of Palfinger Sany and said that; “The Palfinger Sany SRC series is used in very important projects like the Izmir Star Refinery, 3rd Airport and we get very good feedbacks. In addition to the high quality and high performance of the machine, we also support it with our strong service and spare parts. I think that we will continue sales as long as we continue with this structure.”
The Palmak Makina – Makser Crane partnership, which makes a quick start with Palfinger Sany, wants to add leasing companies to its end user customer portfolio. Zeki Daşdemir stated that they aimed to break taboos in this area and said that the sale of rought terrain cranes to Ekinciler company is of great importance in this regard. Zeki Daşdemir also stated that he had been struggling for many years, said that “In particular, large operational leasing companies paid less attention to rought terrain cranes than necessary. But Ekinciler intents on breaking this perception and is in the process of building a serious fleet. There is a large gap in the market and I think they will appreciate this gap because they have a good connection with construction companies. Still, it is a belated move for Turkey. I am waiting for the increase in the number of moves in this field.”
Zeki Daşdemir stated that most recently, they received the representation of the rought terrain Palfinger Sany cranes as well as road and on-vehicle cranes, and stated that the truck cranes were also included in the order of 100 piece units for the coming year. Especially with their 80 and 100 ton capacity on-vehicle cranes, Zeki Daşdemir said that he hopes that they will make the necessary infrastructure works and that they would have an important place in the market.
