As you know, I make movie lists every single year since I founded my web site www.tst.gen.tr in 1999. Since then; “Titanic”, “Gladiator”, “The Fifth Element”, “The Lord Of The Rings”, “Signs”, “Hair”, “Captain EO”, “Crash”, “The Devil’s Arithmetic”, “Jumper”, “The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button”, “This Is It”, “Inception” and “Immortals” became winners between 1999 and 2012. Now a new year has come: it is 2013! I hope you know the rule. If a movie enters TST Interactive’s cinema list, the reproductions of the movie or continuations of the series can’t able to enter my list again. For example, in 1999 “James Bond” entered my list. That’s why you won’t be able to see “Skyfall” in 2013 list even I watched it last year. Or in 2011, “Clash Of The Titans” entered my list. However, I watched “Wrath Of The Titans” in 2012, but I didn’t put it in my 2013 list, because it was a contiunation of the other movie. However, there is an exception. In 2002, “The Lord Of The Rings” became number one. This year, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” became second, because I think that this is a new adventure just like the champion “The Avengers”… The characters’ main movies of “The Avengers” entered TST Interactive’s movie lists in various years such as Ironman, Thor, Captain America and Hulk. However, the characters came together in one movie this time and I saw it as a new adventure. However, if “The Avengers 2”, “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” and “The Hobbit: There and Back Again” come in the future; these movies won’t able to enter my list. If I broke my law, maybe I would make “The Dark Knight Rises” number one in my 2013 list. That movie was the best Batman movie I’ve ever seen. However, I don’t think the same thing about Andrew Garfield’s “The Amazing Spider-Man”, because I think that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man was better than this. Why did they go back to the starting of the story after 10 years? I don’t understand it.
Anyway, I put the unique movies which I wathced since my “2012 movie list” in order. Most of them are watched in 2012 by me. The movies which I will watch in 2013, will enter 2014 list. However, in 2009, I made an “all-time greatest movie” list to celebrate my web site’s 10th year birthday. The special and unique list’s winner was “Moonwalker” and was translated into several languages for being in the news.
Sometimes I forget to put the movies which I watched when I was a child or teenager to my lists. For example “Karate Kid” entered my list in 2002 or “Dick Tracy” entered my list in 2010 even I watched them many years ago. This year, “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure” entered my list, but I watched it when I was a kid. My favourite movie theme is about time machines or time journeys without a machine. For example, this year “Source Code”, “The Lake House”, “Looper” and “Premonition” are on the top of the list because their subject was about travelling in different times. “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure” was in this type, too. One day, suddenly I remembered Keanu Reeves’ classic and that movie entered TST Interactive’s movie list very lately. Sometimes reproduction of a movie which I’ve watched before, can remind me the original version. For example, I’ve watched Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “Total Recall” many years ago but it couldn’t enter my lists before, because I forgot to put it. Last year, Colin Farrell acted in a new version of the movie and I recognized the original version just like Adrien Brody’s “Predators” this year and Jason Momoa’s “Conan The Barbarian” last year.
Last year, unfortunately we have lost Hollywood celebrities again. That’s why I dedicate this list to them, especially “The Bodyguard”s actress and successful diva singer Whitney Houston and the queen of disco Donna Summer. Of course, I also dedicate this page to Marilyn Monroe (1926 – 1962) who has a biography movie called “My Week With Marilyn” (but Michelle Williams is Marilyn in this movie) in this list, Chris Farley who acted in “Beverly Hills Ninja” in 1997 (you can see this movie in this page, too) and died in the same year and all celebrities whom we lost even they couldn’t enter the list. I will mention some of them in the future lists every year if they will enter my future lists.
