Palmak Makine which entered into the crane sector in 2016, makes important investments in the sector with its partner Makser Vinc. The company which received a total of 10 Sany Palfinger SRC series rought terrain cranes, will receive a package of 12 machines until the end of the year.

Palmak Makina entered the crane sector in May 2016 by undertaking the distributorship of the Sany Palfinger brand. Palmak Makina which was established by Zeki Daşdemir, one of the experienced names in the sector, has also got a partnership with Makser Vinc. So, Makser Vinc, which provides service in the crane sector for many years, started to work with Palmak Makina both in managing the after sales service process and in sales organization. Zeki Daşdemir, General Manager of Palmak Makina, explained how the partnership process developed as follows: “We had already a friendship extending back a long time with Mr. Mustafa. After founding Palmak Makina, we were very aware of the importance of after sales service. For this reason, we started to negotiate with Makser Vinc which is an experienced company in the service field. They also adopted this approach and we agreed. We are acting as partners not only in after sales service but also in sales. We hope that we will have a long-term partnership”. Dasdemir stated that Sany Palfinger headquarters are very happy about this partnership and said that “Although Sany Palfinger actually is not much known in Turkey, it is a very recognized and known brand in the Gulf countries and the Far East Asia. Sany Palfinger, which has set Turkey as a base, showed an extremely positive attitude for the work we carry out”.
Daşdemir, who expressed that they work by stock system, gave information about the new machines. Daşdemir stated that they purchased 10 SRC series rought terrain crane in total, said that “We invested in machinery in three different models. Two of the machines they received are of 35, four of 55, and four of 75-ton class. We will receive 12 more machines until the end of December”. Stating that 2017 will be a dynamic year, Daşdemir also stated that they have already given approval for an order of 100 units for 2017. Daşdemir expressed that they are trying to serve the customers with a stock as wide as possible, said that “Today, 10 of machines we received are sold and some of them were directly sent to our customers site. Four of the machines were delivered to Algeria, two to Azerbaijan and three to Star Refinery in progress in Izmir. One will be sent to the construction site of the 3rd Airport”. Daşdemir stated that they have a strong demand from Turkey and also from neighboring countries, said that “As you know, not only in Turkey, we have undertaken the sales and service organization together with Makser Vinc in Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Georgia. We are continuing our investments to meet the strong demand from these countries”.
Zeki Daşdemir expressed that recently, there is an increase in the industrial projects in particular in Turkey, he said that “Our machines are used especially in these industrial projects, refinery constructions and large infrastructure projects. We are negotiating for the Canakkale Bridge Project, which will start in the near future. Likewise, we are receiving requests for the North Anatolian Highway Project”. Daşdemir noted that they are happy because their 35-ton cranes are used in the 3rd Airport construction, he said that “Our 35-ton machine has passed a long-term technical control for the project. As a result of this check, it had got the operational approval and will be used in steel construction of the project”.
Despite the fact that they have not raised their expectations significantly in 2016, Daşdemir expressed that they have encountered a demand that exceeds their targets. “We can say that 2016 is a depressed year when we evaluate it on sectoral basis. However, we still have a year better than our expectations. 2017 will be an even more dynamic year. That is why we already made a machine order of 100 units” he said. As well as Turkey, in particular in neighboring countries they are responsible, they will increase their market share and continued his statement as follows: “For the year 2017, we will bring not only rought terrain cranes, but truck and road-type crane models. Until now we have been concentrating on selling rought terrain cranes continuously, but when we started to have requests for different models, we decided to diversify our machines.”
Makser Vinc General Manager Mustafa Tam talked about the new investment made, stated that they will also invest in after-sales service with increasing number of machines. Tam, pointed out the importance of the spare parts stock, said that “We have a large stock of the most needed parts by the machine because of our field experience for many years. We have already identified a critical stock level and we are never below this level”. Tam mentioned that the machines they sell are used in priority works in building sites and the failure situations have to be resolved immediately, said that “Down time of our machine due to failure will cause both time and financial loss of the plant and the company. To prevent that we quickly access the field and make the required response with our experience team.
Mustafa Tam noted they provide service for more than 15 years in the crane sector, stated that they participated in many projects abroad until today. Tam mentioned that some of companies they provide service have abroad projects and said that “By means of the experience we have gained over many years, we know how to act especially in abroad projects. We did not encounter any problems in the period until today. The most basic component of providing the service in a smooth way is to provide mutual communication. At first, we are trying to solve the problem that occurred from our central office. If necessary, we go to the field as soon as possible”.
