The Most Special Region of Turkey with its Unique Location

The official name of this village, which is generally known as Faralya and spreads over an area of 40 km, is Uzunyurt village. It is 25 km from Fethiye town of Mugla, 70 km from Dalaman Airport and only 10 km from Oludeniz.

We can also call Faralya Village “Turkey’s hidden paradise”.

Travel in Time

What makes Nautical as one of the most beautiful holiday destinations is not only that it has this magnificent beauty and untouched areas, but also that it has a famous unique location adorned with historical Roman and Lycian ruins.

Flora

The richness of the flora of Faralya, which is unique in Turkey, is attributed to the fact that this region has survived to the present day without being affected by the ice age.

In addition to pine trees on the slopes of the mountains, it has a vast vegetation with thousands of plants from thyme to sage, from citrus fruits to sweetgum trees. The resinous oil of the log trees is used in pharmacy and cosmetics. The dried bark of trees has been important as incense material in the region since ancient times. Faralya region also has a very high share in the Turkish economy in apiculture and honey production.

Butterfly Valley

Surrounded by steep rocky walls reaching 350 meters, the valley got its name from the more than 80 butterfly species it hosts, especially the tiger butterfly. In this valley, you have the opportunity to see 30 different daytime butterflies and 40 types of night butterflies for 9 months.

The waterfall, whose source is in the Faralya district and poured from a height of 50 meters, reaches the Mediterranean with a stream passing through the middle of the valley. Transportation to the Butterfly Valley, which you will pass by watching the view from above, is provided by boats while coming to our hotel.

A path from Faralya district also reaches the valley, but due to its rope climbing routes and variable surface, it should be explored with a guide.

Gorgeous Beauties

Faralya, with its diversity of mystical, authentic and local village life, where you can see all kinds of shades of green, the scent of flowers, the sounds of birds, beautiful beaches, the sea, the valleys, the bays, the species of butterflies that many people have perhaps never seen and whose species are endangered, the scent of flowers they have longed for, attracts more domestic and foreign tourists.

Bird Sanctuary

Although the Bird Sanctuary in Fethiye Calis is a small area, it was deferred as a “Natural Protection Park” in 2007. This wetland, which has an area of 15 hectares, is home to many birds, especially during migration periods.

There are 261 vertebrate and 29 invertebrate bird species and 40 different kinds of plants here. You can see all the rare and endangered species in all seasons of the year, as it is in the center of the paradise.

Lycian Civilization

The Lycian region, which extends from the western part of Antalya to the southeast of Mugla, is one of the most special regions of Anatolia in terms of history and natural riches. In ancient times (in the region called the Land of Lights), ancient cities were almost intertwined with nature. The city ruins, which provide information about the social life of the Lycians, are spread throughout the region.

The ancient Lycian civilization cities are recommended to the Unesco World Heritage list with this feature. Tombs and monuments that have unique Lycian language are also found in the Faralya region.
